‘my’ orange-tip…
While most the orange-tips are flying on their specific habitats – river floodbeds with blooming cuckooflowers (in Dutch: pinksterbloem) – I’m stuck in National Park Van Der Wielen due to the corona measures. Not intirely of course but I’ve challenged myself not to go out to the obvious places on obvious moments but #stayhome and see what I can do in my own garden.
No beautifull sunrises, no morning dew and not even cuckooflowers. But to my surprise the orangetips come and visit me instead. I have been lucky with a male orangetip who sat down on our garlic mustard (in Dutch: look-zonder-look) for 24 hours to give me the opportunity to mage the pictures I never had imagined.
He even gave me the opportunity to work with the #Tipa awarded Laowa by Venus Optics #loawa 100mmm f/2.8 2:1 macro lens. Who has imagined the map-like patterns on his wings in terrific colors.
I tell the whole story about ‘my’ orange-tip in my next free webinar by natuurfotografie.nl Saturday 11:00. And maybe also in near future on a live session for LAOWA Benelux … stay tuned.
