‘my’ orange-tip #4 … he went but she came back
While I was busy to post pictures of my fritillaris online, in the background I was still enjoying National Park van der Wielen. I told you already about my adventures with my little friend the orangetip. He sat with me for about 48 hours on the garlic mustard and finally flew away into the warm sun. I was really happy with all the pictures could make of him but of course I had plenty of ideas left.
To my big surprise after a week, a female orangetip found her way to my garden and sat down for almost 3 days on the garlic mustard. I watched her placing some eggs and enjoyed her company for the total time. I’m really happy that I was able to continue with macro adventures in my own back garden.
Yesterday she started flapping her wings and I was allowed to film her flying away. Of course I was happy that she was fine and went back into the great nature but I was a little sad to miss my little friend. As if she knew, she came back after 2 hours and sat down again on my annual honesty (Dutch: Judaspenning). She gave me a few more hours of experimenting with the colours and the light in my garden for she finally went off. I really want to thank her for her beautiful appearance and enormous patience….
