Varanger high plateau
~ the arctic awakens ~ Tour
During our photo expedition through Finnmark, Norway, we witnessed the awaking of the arctic regions. Awaking means the melting snow and starting of the only two months of green season. In the valley’s, the birches are already getting their leaves but the bare high plateau’s are still with lots of snow and hardly any plants… a river of melt water streams on the bottom of an old valley the cuts through the high plateau.
